A Lot of Randomness

So I did a craft fair on Saturday and they didn't advertise for it. So it wasn't as busy as I was told it would be. I didn't sell anything. I was shocked but it's good cause now I get to fill up my shop with everything. Check back later tonight when I update it. You might find something you'll just have to have.

Justin and I went to a halloween party on Saturday. It's the annual one we attend and look forward too every year. This year, we had 2 costumes. The one for work (yes we dress up for work...everyone does) we were Team Zissou. Most people haven't seen the movie so they asked if we were smurfs. Hell no we aren't freaking smurfs! Go see the movie. And for Saturday we were something very boring; he was Caesar and I was his little Goddess. We were cute. We had a great time. We also had a great time hearing about all the drama that happened after we left. That's the best.

We're saving up for our projector. We are hoping to have it by the end of this month. We're surprisingly halfway there after we got our escrow overpayment (from last year) in the mail the other day. What a nice surprise. We'll have to invite everyone over for a movie (maybe Life Aquatic). But the first movie we are saving for the Foell's "big screen" is Batman Begins.

The weather is turing colder (I love it!) and now with the time change I'll be going home in the dark. But that's ok. That's the best part of fall just like pumpkin pie, flannel sheets, hot chocolate and cozy movies to fall asleep to. Hopefully on a project soon (can you tell I'm excited). Have a good week everyone!

October 18th

So Jason's right, I can't just leave you hanging with a post like that one. But seriously, I didn't want to write anything yesterday because October 18th, 2005 was the day I got laid off. It was a long time coming so when it did happen my office was cleared out and I felt so relieved that I didn't have to open that front door anymore. I didn't have to pretend I enjoyed working there (no matter how many treats they bought us). I didn't have to listen to the "ride the rocket" speech anymore.

It was a huge relief. But yesterday, the 1 year anniversary was a different story. It was a horrible day at work. No help, no guidance, no instructions. Awful. I was hoping for some relief and it came from an unexpected source. The Chiropractor.

One leg is longer than the other....Again. But, I got a good massage, electrode therapy (or whatever it's called) and an adjustment. It seemed she took all the frustration and anger out of me and left me exhausted.

I got home and Justin had the table set for dinner with wine to the ready. He's the best. 7pm rolled around and I went to bed. I was mentally and physically exhausted at 7pm. That's not normal for me but I feel so much better today.

I'm hoping today won't be a repeat of yesterday. But if it is, I've got the Chiropractor on stand-by. And the wine.

How I Got My Inch Back

When you're only 5 feet tall, every inch you have is yours and you don't want to lose it. When I trained and ran the marathon I had some problems afterwards. My right leg and arm were having some problems. It could have been the fact I had just started a new job and was sitting all the time (which, by the way, I HATE!). So I went to the Doctors office.

The nurse called me back and took my weight. I snorted at that. Then she measured me.

"four eleven"
"What? No I'm 5 feet tall"
"Well today you are 4'11"
"Don't write that down because I'm 5 feet."
"But I have to write it down."
"Well then write down 5 feet."

She just giggled. Well of course she just giggled because she was like 5 inches taller than me! I was irritated and my right leg and arm were aching and I wanted to leave. But I needed to get this taken care of.

The Doctor came in. I told her what was up and mentioned the marathon. "Well that could cause a little damage." She noticed one foot was longer than the other and suggested I visit the Chiropractor. So off to the Chiropractor I went.

I told her what was up and she started doing her voodoo magic. She asked where the pain was.

Pain? I just had an ache that I thought was nerve problems. Nope, I had a very common injury amongst runners in my glutes (hehe). So she worked them out and it hurt! A-ha! The pain she was asking about. Then she adjusted me. All I can say is it's weird but feels good.

I went a few more times to finish treatment and now I'm good. And most importantly, I got my inch back!

It's not a Doctor's office, but it's close enough for me.

606

I love it when I make the 606 diaries (a website that documents Todds life at 6:06pm). According to Todd, I'm usually talking when he takes the picture so I'm pretty funny looking. But he'll make me stop talking to take a decent picture.

I begged to be in this one.

At the bar...as usual. Hey there's actually other girls in the one!

If we aren't at the bar, we're at a friends house. Notice I'm the only girl. This is normal.

Or we are at my house with Scully jumping all over the place.

Sometimes it's a celebration dinner at 6:06 pm.

And sometimes it's a 6:06 AM special.

I'm not a regular on it so when I do make it, it's fun. We are usually eating or drinking at 6:06 but it's always in good company. Maybe we should start one that is 101 and take pictures of how we sleep. It could be entertaining.

I Got a Date!

More like a date range. Went to the ortho today and it's probably a combination of him sick of seeing me and my smelly teeth (sometimes they smell) or my teeth are almost done that he gave me a date of "first of the year."

January? February? March even? That's still another 4 to 5 months! I'll be at the two year mark next month and I'm no where near being done. And today the pain is just as much as day one (almost two years ago...remember). He did the magic "bend the wire" trick in about 4 areas. And mentioned "there might not be hope for you." WHAT? I paid on time, I have great insurance, I'm a loyal customer there better be hope Mr. Ortho!

I hoping this time with the pain it will be worth it. So far it is after seeing the molds of my teeth before. Ugh! Why didn't anyone tell me they were ugly! It's ok, I wouldn't tell you either :)

3-5 months left to go!
